Aside from the hefty price tag that came with the house, Gillan and his then-girlfriend Zoe Dean also spent a ton of money on various renovations around the property that amounted. These projects apparently amounted to almost $500,000. Maybe some of that money was spent on soundproofing the walls? Deep Purple earned the “Globe’s Loudest Band” title from the Guinness Book of World Records a year before Gillan bought the house.

Gillan must have held a lot of parties with some of his peers in the mansion situated on the bank of the Thames River. If his neighbors didn’t know yet they had a celebrity nearby, the huge, guitar-shaped swimming pool must have tipped them off. If a pool in a guitar shape doesn’t scream rock n roll, then what does?
