Cadillac XTS

The XTS was a mid-sized Cadillac that was introduced back in 2013. It has an elegant design with lots of luxury options, but it didn’t make an impact. It doesn’t have great driving dynamics, unlike the CTS or ATS, and it doesn’t have the luxury that the bigger CT6 offers. The Cadillac XTS is somewhat the middle child of their lineup. With a 304 hp engine and a front-wheel drive, the price of an XTS is around $45k, which is a huge sum of money. However, you can find a low mileage and well-kept XTS for half of its base price, which makes buying it amongst the best deals in the mid-sized luxury sedans.

VW Passat

The VW Passat is a regular mid-sized family sedan, not a luxury vehicle. You can buy this car for a fraction of its base price. With advanced technology and features, a wide variety of engines, together with VW’s signature quality and style, it’s a pretty good car. But, what’s the catch? Because of Volkswagen’s circumstances in relation to the emission cheating scandal, many of the Passats that have a diesel engine were recalled last year, giving the whole Volkswagen diesel lineup bad publicity, thereby causing the price of these models to go down. A 2014 VW Passat’s MSRP of $25k is now down to $12-13k (it would depend on what options you pick). We will not recommend that you buy a Passat with the infamous diesel engine. However, the models that have a gasoline engine are also cheap.
