Volkswagen Beetle
The rate of depreciation for the Volkswagen Beetle is at 37% in its first 12 months. Aside from that, the resale and MSRP value of the Volkswagen Beetle’s diesel models has dropped at a much quicker rate compared to that of their gasoline models. The reason for this was because of the reports that a software cheat had been added by Volkswagen to the diesel models to do well in emission tests. Since the 18th of September, 2015, the Beetle is one of the models that have double the depreciation rate compared to their gasoline models. However, the Beetle bought last year could be the following year’s best buy.

Lincoln MKS
The Lincoln MKS will soon become an obsolete model. This model that is not sold that often appeals to those buyers that are seeking a luxury car that costs below $50k. Since this was never a top-seller, the value of the car goes down by 30.4 percent in just one year. Similar to the Genesis, it’s a pain in the side of an individual buying a brand new MKS, but it would be a best-case scenario for a buyer of used cars.
