The most prestigious of the two-door models of Mercedes is the CL series. Even though the SL is much sportier, the CL is a GT car that has powerful engines, best quality of luxury features, and space that can accommodate four people. Having that prestige level also comes with a hefty price tag. The base price was at over $100k when it started. Right now, for only about $25k (which is an economy sedan price), you can find a CL 500 in perfectly good condition.

Mercedes aimed to enter the market with the R-Class as a luxury crossover. Unfortunately, the market size for this type of car was not big enough and only two years after its inception, it was discontinued. Despite its original price of $50k, you can now get this understated vehicle for around $19K!
