While Jon was bound to his job, he was still worried whether he would be able to get back to his wife when she was due. And even if he were able to, there was still the worry whether the baby would be okay. Jon had managed to secure leave during Megan’s last weeks in her pregnancy, thankfully. But suddenly, when Jon made his way back to America, his flights got canceled.

Jon took a seemingly endless journey back to America by a series of flights from his base in Afghanistan. To his dismay, nothing seemed to be going smoothly for him. Several of his flights were delayed, and worst of all, his charter flight from Germany to the States was canceled. Which meant he was stranded in Germany for four whole days. Time was running out and he knew that telling Megan would just stress her out.
