Jerry Richardson
Jerry Richardson did not have the longest career in the NFL. In 1959, he joined the Baltimore Colts as a tailback/receiver but only lasted for two seasons. His career as a pro football player did not last long, although he did get an NFL championship nonetheless. After a brief career in the world of pro football, Richardson started a number of business ventures in the food and beverage industry. He was able to work his way – he started with his own Hardee’s franchise and then went on to be the CEO of Flagstar, which controls numerous food chains such as Denny’s and Hardee’s. In 1995, he bought the NFL expansion team called the Carolina Panthers. Recently, he started the process of selling it, however.
