As young adults, Kay and Phil Robertson decided to stay in their home state, Louisiana. They lived, worked, and started a family there. It seems like this was yet another good decision on their part. Nice.

Phil began to grow out his beard when the boys hit their teens. After he first did it, he never shaved it off ever again. After the boys finished high school, they also grew out theirs. A tradition was born.
