The firefighters all together lifted the storm grate to make the bottom accessible. The animals’ cries from below were very clear and the rescuers quickly realized the animals were actually babies. The team wondered how the animals got there and what they were doing there.

The firefighters were puzzled about why the small animals had gotten inside the storm grate. The wild is naturally where the animals would be better off in. Obviously, these animals were far from any type of wild habitat. The firefighters also could not help but think about where the animals’ mother was.
