The Los Angeles Lakers drafted Kobe Bryant as a high school junior. He continued his 20-year playing career in Los Angeles, winning five NBA championships. He may have retired in 2016, but that doesn’t mean he’s relaxing! Kobe has accomplished a lot since leaving the NBA, including directing a film. His short film, Dear Basketball, went on to win an Academy Award!

Gary Payton was the Seattle SuperSonics’ point guard for 13 years, setting franchise records in points, assists, and steals (points, assists, and steals). Since then, he’s appeared in films such as White Men Can’t Jump, Eddie, Like Mike, The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part, The Breaks and in the TV show The Jamie Foxx Show.
