On September 5th, 1975, a woman named Lynette “Squeaky” Fromme attempted to shoot Gerald Ford while he was walking through a cheering crowd in Sacramento, California. She was carrying a Colt M1911 pistol attempted to shoot him, but her gun did not fire properly.
