The Graduate (1967)

The story of Benjamin Braddock is the core of this Oscar-winning film, The Graduate, is a young man of interest who moves back in with his parents after college. He’s being seduced by a woman twice his age while having trouble finding meaning in his life! Their relationships, though, were short-lived as he soon fell for Elaine, her daughter. The groundbreaking plot of the film may have caused an uproar among some of its 1967 audiences, but it also brought us one of history’s most paused scenes. This is the scene where Mrs. Robinson brazenly locks Benjamin in a room and strips. The glance at her body and the hopeless look on his face made the scene priceless and legendary.

The Wizard Of Oz (1939)

The Wizard of Oz is a timeless classic and is adored for any ideological reason. Its heartwarming message, unforgettable characters, creative setting, and catchy sing-along songs are just among those reasons. And while it offers other pause-worthy moments, there is this one that initially stood above others. It is the part of the movie where Dorothy joyfully skipped along the Yellow Brick Road with her friends. A dark figure, hanging from a tree before them, could be seen. There have been conspiracy theories that it was a member of the cast who has had to attempt suicide. When, in fact, it was just an enormous bird.
