The Crying Game (1992)
In Northern Ireland, the massively successful thriller was doing very well. Singer Dil of Nightclub played by Jane Davidson is responsible for the infamous scene which astonished all of us. Fergus, the IRA hero, formed a bond with a British soldier’s ouster and went to see his mother, Dil, when he was murdered. Dil reveals in an important scene that she is transgender and that the public is reacting with a collective replay.

The film Passengers provides all these sharp-eyed Stanley Kubrick fans with some important hints about The Shining. Director Morten Tyldum is a big Kubrick fan and through his concept, he wanted to show the world. For starters, The robot-bartender looks very similar to that of The Shining’s bartender, including the waistcoat and the bow-tie. And another thing is, the tapestry in the bar of the ship looks very much like the Overlook Hotel’s hall carpet. Very well spotted fans!
