Later that afternoon, after leaving Jasper, the doctor called Jocelyn. Like she did every day, she was already planning to see Jasper, but when she got the call, she realized something wasn’t right. When she heard what they had to say, she was overcome with grief, but perhaps things wouldn’t be as bad as they seemed.
