The movie did not do well in terms of critical reception. In fact, critics on Rotten Tomato said, ‘No amount of breathtaking cinematography can save Dark Tide from its poor plot and dire dialogue.’ Peter Bradshaw of The Guardian said it was ‘oddly tiresome’
