She had never seen Benji before, but as soon as she did, she was smitten. When Benji’s prior owner returned him to her, she first met him. Staff members who had been at the shelter for a longer amount of time told her how entertaining Benji had been in the past, despite the fact that she had only ever witnessed him in a terribly depressed mood.
