These two have been in professional wrestling for a while now, and they have given and received a good amount of criticism, but the amount of slander cannot compare to the animosity they have for each other. According to Vince Russo (who is said to have burned down traditional wrestling barriers and made way for the Attitude Era), Cornette’s feelings towards him come from their time in WWE, when Vince McMahon chose Russo as a creative team partner over Cornette. At times, the feud can feel sort of one-sided as Cornette has criticized Russo a lot over the years and even went so far as putting the blame for Owen Hart’s tragic death on Russo. Cornette said that Russo booked Hart as a superhero when he should have just let him be a wrestler.
