As a matter of fact, Jaden’s 19th birthday was approaching when the teenager finally moved out of the Smith family home, but he had asked to fly the nest when he was 15. Apparently, gaining independence was beneficial to him – especially with regard to how Jaden saw his family.

A Changed Perspective
During his Red Table Talk appearance, Jaden explains how leaving home has given him a different perspective on family life. “It just makes you appreciate being at home, being with your parents [and] spending quality time with family. You get out into the world, and then you just kind of just understand things,” he says.
