If you’re offended, please don’t come to the group.” Chelsea exhaled a sigh of relief after explaining her position to Karen.

Playgroup Mothers Choosing their Side
Karen’s feelings of being attacked by Chelsea’s messages may have been justified. She attempted to elicit sympathy from the other mothers in the playgroup, but she was unsuccessful. The other mothers in the playgroup were not as quick to pass judgment as I was. They wanted to know Chelsea’s side of the story, so they approached her. Chelsea provided them with screenshots of their exchanges with one another. The mother realized what was going on, and they came to the conclusion that the fuss over the tee-shirt was not very important.
