In 1960, Karen and Dennis went to prom together and it was the start of their relationship. Dennis gathered enough courage to ask Karen to go to prom with him and she later recalled how the other girls in high school got jealous of her. Things quickly got serious between Karen and Dennis as they became absolutely inseparable. They hoped to be together for the rest of their lives and build a family and a home. Sadly, something happened which stood in their way for many decades.

Karen and Dennis were not as lucky as Heidi and Ed were. At 15 years old, Karen found out that she was pregnant and Dennis made a decision to propose, but sadly, their parents didn’t agree with the marriage, deciding to have the baby adopted. It seemed as if the two would be separated forever and fifty years went by without Karen and Dennis ever communicating again. However, fate brought them back together after five decades.
