The former pro football player later found himself in broadcasting. He was with the Chargers from 1973 to 1998. The QB did not ever make it to the Super Bowl but got inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame in 1993 anyway. He is a CBS color analyst who called play-by-play NFL games.
