Priceless Artwork
In 1502, an Italian statesman hired Leonardo da Vinci to paint a scene from the Battle of Anghiari. In the 1550s, Giorgio Vasari got commissioned to paint over it. However, he could not bring himself to do so. Many believe that a false wall had been built over so that they could preserve the artwork.

Bats
Two months after Calvin Oshowy bought a house, he discovered that it was full of bats. They were in the walls, the ceiling, and the attic. He had to put in a lot of work to seal all entry points and even built a bat sanctuary outdoors in the hopes that they would stay there and leave his house alone.
