Kim Novak

Kim Novak started her career when Columbia Pictures recruited her to replace Rita Hayworth, who was one of the most popular actresses in the ‘40s. On top of that, she was brought in to compete with Marilyn Monroe of the 20th Century Fox. She became a household name after starring in an Alfred Hitchcock film called Vertigo. From the mid-‘60s onward, she has only worked in the industry sporadically. During the early ‘90s, she decided to retire. In 2010, the actress announced that she was struggling with breast cancer. We are glad that she was able to recover!
