Julia Roberts
We are sure that you know very well who Julia Roberts is. She was one of the biggest stars in recent memory. Now in her 50s, she became a household name when she starred in Pretty Woman opposite Richard Gere. Mind you, the actress was not a one-hit wonder. She has since appeared in more critical and commercial hits such as My Best Friend’s Wedding, Runaway Bride, Erin Brockovich, Ocean’s Eleven, and Notting Hill. More recently, she appeared in a 2017 movie called Wonder.
Brigitte Bardot
Before Brigette Bardot broke into the acting scene in the ‘50s, she had been a dancer. She got her big break when she appeared in a Robert Vadim film called And God Created Women in 1956. An American critic said that she was “undeniably a creation of superlative craftsmanship.” Her entrance on the Hollywood stage had been such a big deal that Simone de Beauvoir even wrote an essay with the title Brigitte Bardot and the Lolita Syndrome. She has since become an animal rights activist. However, the actress has been fined for inciting racial hatred not just once but five times.
