Barbara Parkins had been 16 years old when she decided to try her luck in Los Angeles. She got her start by being a backup dancer and singer for major stars at nightclubs. She was able to get her onscreen debut through a low-budget crime film called 20,000 Eyes. One of her biggest projects was the movie adaptation of Valley of the Dolls. She was also in a show called Peyton Place, for which she got an Emmy Award nomination for the Best Actress in a Lead Role category.

Catherine Deneuve is a French actress who made it to the international stage after starring in Les Parapluies de Cherbourg. It is an interesting French film because all lines of dialogue were sung like an opera. After that, she starred in Repulsion and became even more famous. She has since starred in a plethora of roles. In 1985, she was given the important role of representing Marianne, who is the personification of liberty in France. Not that long ago, she hit the headlines when she denounced that #MeToo movement by saying that it was nothing more than a witch hunt.
