While Brian Stelter had his own opinions about Carlson and MSNBC, Tucker Carlson himself felt differently. Carlson opened up about his time at MSNBC, admitting that the network had changed a lot and “they didn’t have a role for me.” Where would Carlson go next? That’s right, Fox News.

In May 2009, Tucker Carlson becomes a Fox News contributor and his career only skyrockets from there. Although he had already appeared as a frequent guest panelist for their late-night satire shows, such as Red Eye w/ Greg Gutfeld and Special Report with Bret Baier. Moreover Carlson acted as a substitute host for Hannity during Sean Hannity’s absence. Carlson’s footing with Fox was about to get so much better.
