Amadeus: Mozart’ Sippers Didn’t Exist Yet

This biographical movie about Mozart’s life in the 18th century has plenty of errors. As a matter of fact, it has the same mistake over and over again. Zippers were visible the whole way through despite the fact that they weren’t invented for another 100 years.

The Color Purple: Clip-on Ties Didn’t Exist Yet

This movie is one that tells the story of the lives led by African American women that lived in the south in the 1930s. It’s based on the novel written by Alice Walker. There’s a bit of a snag in the movie. Danny Glover can be seen wearing a clip-on tie in a scene that’s set in 1916. These types of ties weren’t invented until 10 years later.
