“Beloved of the god Amun” is what Meritamun means in English. University of Melbourne researchers found her skull in the archives. It is a mystery how the skull made its way there. She had been a Great Royal Wife of Pharaoh Ramesses. According to records, they buried her in the Valley of the Queens.

With only the skull, the information about her was limited. Her cause of death has yet to be determined. However, they do know that she died at the age of 18 to 25.
