King Henry IV
King Henry IV ascended the throne of Navarre at the age of 19. “Henry the Great” or “Good King Henry” married two months after this. Protestants flocked the city to celebrate, but the “St. Bartholomew’s Day Massacre” cut it short. He managed to survive the ordeal and ended up serving from France.

What King Henry IV Really Looked Like
Records said that he was able to survive 12 murder attempts. He was chosen for the project because he was tolerant of other religions. Philippe Froesch and Philippe Charlier made this recreation possible. Henry IV was unable to live past the 13th murder attempt, which involved a Catholic man stabbing him.
