The Venezuelan military leader Simon Bolivar was a key figure during the fight for independence. He was born into a rich family and studied Spain. Over there, he joined the resistance. He became known as “El Libertador” during the French invasion of Spain. Sadly, he died after suffering from tuberculosis issues.
