Trajan
Roman emperor Trajan ruled from 98 until 117. His death cut his reign short. The Roman Senate called him optimus princeps, which means “the best ruler.” Aside from that, he was also known to be a great soldier-emperor as he was able to lead a successful Roman military expansion.

What Trajan Really Looked Like
They relied on this marble bust of the emperor for the reconstruction. Archaeologists think that this was made in 113 AD and that the sculptor saw Trajan in person. The high-quality piece had been fragmented into 356 pieces because it shattered during an earthquake.
