Early Neolithic Stonehenge Man
This facial reconstruction was centered around a skeleton of an adult male that was excavated in 1863. The skeleton was found in Winterbourne Stoke, Wiltshire. With the use of skeletal analysis, this slender man aged around the ’40s can be dated back to 5,500 years ago approximately 500 years before Stonehenge’s first monument was erected.

This specific man dates back to 700 years ago, this was brought about by the analysis of his teeth and bones. Context 958 is part of research being done by Cambridge in order to delve further into the medieval times. The study aims to understand how these individuals lived and died, this man was most likely an inmate of the Hospital of St John. Through assessing the wear and tear on his bones it can be concluded he was hard working.
