World War II was the most costly war of all time. Not only did it cause damage worth trillions of dollars, but it claimed the lives of more than 70 million soldiers and civilians worldwide. The war brought about unlikely allies and rocky alliances. Amazingly, the scenes of the war on all fronts were photographed by many. Despite this, many of these photographs didn’t surface into mainstream circles, but we have them for you to see, to think about, and to digest. Some of them will be difficult to digest.
