If you were to visit this plot in Nonat-le-Pin in France, you would see nothing but farmland. But back on August 21st, 1944, it was the place where hundreds of German prisoners of war were held.

Germany’s Railway Gun
Germany’s military experimentation went far during World War II, sometimes successfully and sometimes not. This was Germany’s ultimate long-range artillery canon that could shoot as far as 47 km. It traveled on railway lines and shot a single round every 30 to 45 minutes.
