Remote Controlled Tanks
German tank manufacturers created a tank that was tiny, unmanned, remote-controlled and armed with explosives. Their purpose was to drive underneath full-sized tanks and to explode them by driving underneath them. This project would eventually be scrapped as the tanks were too costly to produce and they traveled too slowly.

This photograph is both heartbreaking and breathtaking. It shows Jewish women and children exiting a train that was transporting them to their deaths at a death camp. The Allies managed to rescue and liberate them.
