Unlikely Allies
Germany and Russia agreed to split Poland up between the two of them. They also agreed not to attack each-other, but their treaty was rocky and it wouldn’t last long. Eventually Hitler’s breaching of their treaty would push Russia to side with the Allies. Here you can see an American soldier and a Russian soldier happily posing for a photograph together.
