Dennis Rodman
Before the former NBA superstar was hanging out with Kim Jong Un, he was thanking his lucky stars to be alive. The former World Champion Chicago Bull was involved in an intense car crash while traveling along an interstate in South Florida. The crash caused his car to crumple like a can after flipping several times and was supposedly caused by a tire problem. Responding police officers were floored that the people inside made it out of the accident alive and mostly unharmed. Since then, Rodman has become a staple for the sort of shlocky reality television that seems to attract less than popular celebrities. Still, this is much preferable to seeing his life ended after one car accident.
Lisa Lopes
Lisa Nicole Lopes was on top of the world at the time of her death. She was a gorgeous rapper and entertainer that went by the nickname “Left Eye,” thanks to the fact that she routinely wore something over her left eye. Lopes starred in the R&B group TLC and was primed to move into superstar status when her life was sadly cut short. Lopes died in a single-car accident in 2002, when she had to quickly readjust her car in traffic. She ended up overcompensating and summarily rolling the vehicle down a hill, hitting a pair of trees. Lopes was killed in the accident, but her passengers survived. According to reports, which coincide with an on-car camera, Lopes was not wearing a seatbelt.
