The King of Pop nearly lost it all in 1993 when he and his entourage were involved in a car crash in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Michael Jackson was in the vehicle when it hit two teenagers on the streets of Brazil. Both kids were injured and they were sent to the hospital straight away. According to reports, Michael Jackson was distraught and offered to pay their medical bills in order to help them out. Jackson eventually, supposedly, reneged on his offer and the kids consulted a car accident lawyer. They ended up suing Jackson and his crew for damages. Due to the fact that the case happened so long ago, there are very few concrete details available. Michael’s later progression in life ended up obscuring much of what happened during his ‘transitional phase’ into becoming the oddest celebrity on the planet.
Princess Dianna
For a moment in time, the world mourned together. Princess Dianna of Wales was one of the most popular royal figures in the world when she passed away in August of 1997. Dianna died in a single-car crash in the Pont de I’Alma tunnel while in Paris. Alongside Diana, Dodie Fayed and Henri Paul both lost their lives. The funeral, which aired on television afterward, was watched around the globe by millions of grieving admirers. The car accident, which was reportedly caused by Henri Paul’s drunken driving, has been under scrutiny ever since. There are many that believe the car crash was faked by the MI6; while there is no proof to back up this claim, it continues to pervade the story surrounding her death. Perhaps this is the nature of being so famous and politically powerful when your life comes to an end.
