Aaron Spelling’s casting of Heather Locklear for the role of Sammy Jo Dean Carrington in “Dynasty” changed her acting career. She joined the show only in its second season but she lasted for 7 years and until the sixth season!

Meeting Shatner
Since Aaron Spelling was also the producer for another show called “T.J. Hooker”, he cast Locklear for a role there too. In 1982 she joined during the second season and that was when she got to meet the very talented William Shatner. When the show was eventually cancelled, Locklear was able to fully dedicate herself to “Dynasty”.
