At the time Locklear was in the middle of her divorce with Richie Sambora, she didn’t just lose her other half. Locklear and her best friend, fellow actress Denise Richards, had quite the falling out. Locklear went on to say that when she broke it off with Sambora, Richards went to a concert of his. When everyone else close to Locklear did not, Locklear felt betrayed by her best friend’s actions.

Growing Concern
All of these losses and heart breaks were incredibly challenging for Locklear, and understandably so. With a second public divorce and losing a close friend, Locklear was struggling. Therefore her doctor prescribed her medication to help ease the agony, but in March 2008, things took a turn. Emergency services were dispatched to her home after Locklear’s doctor altered authorities that he was concerned for her well being.
