Selleck, now 72 years of age, once said that when he turned 70 just two years ago, it was a defining moment in his life. During a recent interview, Selleck actually admitted the first time that he truly felt like a grown man was once his father passed away in 2001. “I had had a lot of leadership positions, I had been in the military…but you know, in my case, when my father died, I go, “There’s nobody to go to for fatherly advice. You’re on your own, pal,” said Selleck.

Now we’ve already mentioned that Selleck worked as a model but did you know that his his drama coach and college fraternity brothers are the ones who encouraged him to participate in the 60’s show, The Dating Game?
