Evan Lysacek

Making a fantastic impression, Evan Lysacek was bound to glory when he went to the Olympic Rink in 2010. That same year, he took men’s singles of gold and was then named sportsman of the year for the United States Olympic Committee. The 34-year-old was the last American solo skater to win an Olympic medal, and since his big win in 2010, he hasn’t returned to the winter games. Lysacek was honored to be inducted into the American Figure Skating Hall of Fame in 2016.

Nobody can doubt that the destiny of Kristi Yamaguchi was to skate. Most of the skater spent her youth on ice, and her hard work paid off by becoming the Olympic skating figure champion in 1992. Yamaguchi quickly became a cultural icon in the United States and made good use of this fame after she announced her retirement. In 2005 she was brought to the United States. The Olympic Hall of Fame was the sixth famous champion of dance with the stars in 2008.
