Queen At Twenty-Five

Princess Elizabeth had not been born as the heir to the throne, and she was practically third in line for most of her life. Then she became second in line with her grandfather’s death when she was only ten. The throne was taken by her uncle, the eldest son. But it was a short reign since shortly afterward; he ascended to the throne. His younger brother, the father of Elizabeth, had become the King. In 1952, after her father died, when she was just twenty-five, Elizabeth took the throne.
