A Taster
It sounds pretty cool to have a personal taste tester, but it’s not all it’s made out to be. The presidential taste tester isn’t hired to make sure the food meets the President’s standards. In fact, the taster’s main job is to make sure there is no danger in the food the President is about to eat. His services are only required when the President is out of the office seeing as there are chefs in the White House with strict guidelines. If there is no taster on hand, the President isn’t allowed to eat. How crazy is that?

You might think that being the president, they get lavish gifts constantly from leaders of all kinds of companies and supporters. Well, that couldn’t be farther from the truth. There are very strict rules against getting gifts from anyone. In 2016, the law stated that any gift worth over $375 would have to be turned over to the National Archives.
