If the President just so happens to find the time to write some kind of book, whether it be a memoir or anything that required publishing while in office, they wouldn’t be able to secure a copyright. US copyright laws state that any work created by a federal government employee or even the President when he’s in office is considered public domain.

While it would be great to be able to pay off millions of college graduates’ student loans, the president can’t actually grant such a thing. Even though they have the power of a presidential pardon and can pardon people with extreme crimes, they can’t do the same for students.
