Flight attendants need to work as soon as they get onto the plane. This often means carrying out safety checks before people board the plane and then greeting them once passengers hop on. It is pretty hard to believe that no matter how much work they do before takeoff, they do not get paid for it. Flight attendants are only compensated for the hours that the plane starts its engines and then pulls away from the gate. That’s right, they do not get paid their full rate for anything before that. The hours they spend at work on the ground are only compensated with a low rate of around $1.50 per hour.

They Do Get Romantically Involved With One Another

It is not surprising to hear that flight crew members sometimes get involved with their colleagues. As a matter of fact, it is pretty common for crew members to get into relationships with each other. Considering how much time they have to spend together in an enclosed space, it kind of makes sense. Although they are free to fraternize as they wish, it is important for them to remain professional. Just like other jobs, employees should not air their dirty laundry in the presence of customers.
