Going For A Walk
By the time all the breakfast dishes were cleared away, Lucky was frantic. He was scratching at the door, squealing with anticipation, and pleading with his eyes. It was time for his usual walk. “You go ahead,” their mother said happily. And so, off they went: dad, Ellie, Tina, and Lucky.
They didn’t suspect they would soon come across something they never even dreamed of seeing.
Financial Struggle
John really tried to hide his worries from his kids, but he kept on thinking about unpaid bills while he walked. They recently had fallen on tough times, and his daughters’ college funds were all but depleted. He felt like a failure. He kept walking with his eyes on the horizon. However, his eyes should have been on the ground.
