Jason McElwain
Jason “J-Mac” McElwain’s story might just be one of the best yet. Born with autism, he’d always had a passion for basketball. He even became the manager of the Greece Athena High School basketball team. In the last game of his senior year, the coach surprised Jim with a jersey and allowed him to join the team on the bench and maybe even play for a few minutes. With four minutes left, the coach called him in since the team had a comfortable lead. While J-Mac missed his first two shots, he didn’t miss again. He nailed six three-pointers and another deep jumper, totaling in 20 quick points. When the buzzer sounded, fans rushed onto the court to embrace him.

ChuckStrong Campaign
Indianapolis Colts head coach, Chuck Pagano, recovered from a Leukemia diagnosis to coach his team in 2012. His team and the NFL launched the #ChuckStrong campaign. They ended up raising over $1.7 million for continued cancer research.
