Johnny Manziel
In 2012, Johnny Manziel met six-year-old Charlie Dina just after the little boy was diagnosed with Stage 4 Neuroblastoma. Once Manziel heard about the boy’s battle, the two became friends. For over two years, they spent a lot of time together, including on the catwalk when they participated in a fundraiser for Dec My Room in Houston.

Matt Cain and Batkid
While Batkid’s day in San Francisco was planned beautifully by the Make-A-Wish Foundation, this moment was a surprise. Leukemia survivor Miles Scott spent a day saving San Francisco from villains and later in the year, was invited out by the Giants. He was invited to throw out the first pitch on Opening Day at AT&T Park. San Francisco Giants pitcher Matt Cain led him to the mound himself.
