As we have previously mentioned, Up With People is the record-holder for most performances during the Super Bowl halftime shows. Secrecy Is Key

One of the most important things about the halftime show is secrecy. They take this very seriously and ensure that no details are leaked to the public beforehand. Cracked talked to two performers and learned insider details. Both of them said that the job called for Nondisclosure Agreements. They could not bring cellphones inside the facilities and rehearsals were shrouded in secrecy. Missy Elliott did not even show up for rehearsals save for the day before the performance. This was because the producers did not want people to figure out the surprise reveal! Here is Lady Gaga on the field right before the game.
