The Strength of a Woman
Peggy quickly established herself as a woman of distinction right from the start. She would not be swayed from her decision to become a mechanic for the Altus Oklahoma Air Force Base, just as she would not be swayed from her decision to serve her country. The same sense of purpose she had before she married remained with her even after Billie had abandoned her. Throughout Billie’s disappearance, her stubbornness and determination to do what she believed was right served her well. The search for her husband consumed every ounce of her being and spirit. It was her strong will and unwavering determination that enabled her to continue the search even after seven decades had passed without hearing anything from anyone.
Years of Sleepless Nights
Things didn’t add up as Peggy probed deeper into the case in search of the truth. Some of the stories she received said that Billie had gone missing, while others stated that he had been discovered dead. Finding the truth turned out to be far more difficult than anyone had expected it to be. Peggy, on the other hand, would not be deterred. She was determined to get to the bottom of it all, no matter how many dead ends she came across or how many years it took her to do it. For the time being, she was not going to raise the white flag and declare her surrender. She wasn’t about to give up without a fight. Everything she had worked for her entire life was going to pay off.
